Blacksticks Blue
This was a great idea when we created the first cheese back in 2003. Named after a traditional Lancashire restaurant that used to be run by the family, Blacksticks Blue continues to find fans across the country, especially now that it is widely available in specialist cheese shops and most supermarkets – we really are very proud about our Blacksticks!
A unique soft blue veined cheese, only available from Butlers, Blacksticks Blue has a delicate amber hue and a creamily smooth yet tangy taste. Hand-crafted in small batches, we nurture it and turn it for eight weeks before it becomes good enough to be sold to you. Head cheese maker Tim Fisher and his dedicated Blacksticks Blue makers will ensure that each cheese is individually graded before it is cut – no mass production here!
