You Blackstich Blue Cheese was on the menue and it gave me my first opportunity to taste your cheese. It was WONDERFUL. Please keep up the good work that puts the Great into Great Britain.

Thank you for letting us know and I am so glad that you enjoyed your first taste of Blacksticks Blue. We don’t always get to know where our cheeses are being served so it’s great to hear – do you know if the Queen tried it???

Thank you for your reply. Are all of the goats cheses available from Tesco?

Hi Chris, having looked into the Tesco stores in your sort of area I can tell you:
Oxford - has Kidderton Ash
Bicester - has Kidderton Ash
Abingdon Extra - has Kidderton Ash, Beacon Blue (Tesco's name for Blacksticks Silk) & Whitehaven (whitehaven is on the deli counter). Hope you are close to one of those stores? Kidderton Ash & Beacon Blue are in the Tesco Finest range and Whitehaven is Butlers brand.

Also M&S should have Kidderton Ash, Beacon Blue (M&S name for Blacksticks Silk), Goosnargh Goats and Ravensoak goats cheese.

If you are going to make a special trip I would advise you to phone the store first and double check they have the cheese in store. Hope this helps in your search, many thanks.

Please could you tell me which of your goats cheeses are vegetarian?

Hi Chris I can confirm that all of our goats cheeses are suitable for vegetarians. Thanks for your enquiry.
Q : Ravensoak Goats Milk Cheese
From: Caroline Moore, Poulton le Fylde 27/04/2009
Hi,
I have to admit I have never bought goats cheese before but I bought some Ravensoak Goats Milk Cheese at my local Booths. When I cut the crust of it ran out like thick milk and there was just a small amount of firm cheese in the centre that I could use. Is that the way its supposed to be?
Many Thanks

Thanks for contacting us Caroline and bringing this to our attention, we
shall shortly contact you by email as well.

As a handmade cheese, the texture of Ravens Oak can vary a little from batch
to batch, but it should not be "runny like milk" as you describe. A number
of reasons could have contributed to this including variations in
temperature and conditions during transportation. The texture should in fact be soft and creamy, far more like a brie.

Hi, you have told us that you live in the Sheringham area so with that in mind, M&S have Blacksticks Blue pre packed in Norwich (Rampant Horse St) and there is a possibility that a shop in Cromer shopping centre might be selling Blacksticks but we are still unable confirm the details of this! I do hope this helps your search.

Thanks for letting us know! Do keep an eye out for the three new Blacksticks cheeses as I think you might like those too. Our Blacksticks section of this website details where they are becoming available.
Q : beacon blue

I recently purchased by first pack of Butler's cheese as it was on special offer from Asda. I was beautifully creamy and I had in melted on toast, in a jacket potato, as a nibble and with apricot jam on toast (alright it WAS 3am and woke up hungry).

I am glad that you have found our Beacon Blue - your early morning snack sounds delicious. We might just try it with Apricot Jam for lunch, here in the office!
Q : Blacksticks Blue and Beacon Blue
From: Karen, Essex RM18 20/03/2009
I just wanted to say how much I love Blacksticks Blue, I buy it for everyone I know at Christmas and enjoy it regularly. It's the only cheese I know that vanishes from the cheeseboard almost as soon as it appears there. Usually I am really NOT a cheese person but find myself often eating a whole pack with some crusty bread. I'd really love to try Beacon Blue but havent been able to find it anywhere local - are there any online stockists I could purchase it from?

Hi Karen, I am very glad to hear that you have become a Blacksticks fan! Beacon Blue is a little bit harder to find in your area. Tesco and M&S stock the cheese in their larger stores so that might be your best bet. We are aiming to launch a small online shop ourselves in due course, so that will then become another option for you. I do hope that you find some.
Q : Blacksticks Blue stockists

Until recently there was a stockist of your lovely Blacksticks Blue in Sheringham. Can you please advise me of our nearest stockist.
Many thanks

Marks and Spencers in Norwich stock Blacksticks Blue in a pre pack, I'm not sure if this is of any help to you? Rumour also has it that a cheese shop in Cromer shopping centre is stocking it, but unfortunately we cannot track this down any further! I hope you find some Blacksticks Anne. Do ask your local supermarkets if they are able to get hold of it for you too, you never know!
