Q : Wow
From: Vivienne Fisher, Manchester 07/03/2009
I saw your Blacksticks Blue in Tesco yesterday and bought it to try because I hadn't seen it before. What a surprise. It is excellent and I am very pleased to have discovered it. Well done for making such a good local cheese.

From: Hannah, manchester 13/02/2009
Hi,
I used to wrok in a restaurant and they served Kiddertons goats cheese, but it wasn't rolled in ash, and was almost cream chesse consistancey. I can't fins it anywhere, do you make it still and where I can buy it?

Hi, any of the larger Marks and Spencers, Tesco's and Sainburys will stock Kidderton Ash which is rolled in Ash. The goats product that we sell that isn't rolled in Ash is called Whitehaven and is on the deli in Tesco and is also in Marks & Spencer's but is called Ravens Oak just to confuse you!
Hope you track it down!

What a fabulous cheese. I'm sure it's destined to become a classic - better even than Stilton! We visited our friends in Clitheroe last year and tried to find your dairy. As we didn't have any info at that time, we were unsucessful. We shall definitely visit this year. I am delighted to read about your other cheeses and shall try to find them here. At the moment, Tesco only sells the Blacksticks Blue. So great to have such committed fabulous cheesemakers in the U.K. and am very impressed with your environmental endeavours.Every continued success.

Hi Anna, many thanks for your compliments. A more fulsome range of Blacksticks will be more available in a number of Supermarkets from April onwards. If you do happen to make it to Inglewhite you will see what a pretty village our dairy is located in, then you can picture it when enjoying your Blacksticks!
Q : Blacksticks White
From: Kym Wheeler, Corby, NOrthants 29/01/2009
This is the first time I have come across your cheeses. I picked up a slab at our local Co-op as treat. It was really strong and creamy and very tasty - so tasty we were still tasting it several hours later! I'll be keeping an eye out for your cheese in future.

Hi Vivienne, glad to hear that you are a fan of Blacksticks Blue. Yes that was a good sandwich wasn't it?! The beauty of cheese is that it is a totally natural and wholesome product that provides a good source of calcium, something which is very important for us all. I think the main benefit of speciality cheeses such as Blacksticks Blue is that they give us a little bit of something really quite delicious and that is certainly of great importance to our everyday happiness!

Q : Just a quick thanks

I was born in Preston but have lived and worked around London for 20 years.
I picked up your cheese in a Tesco near a huge, grotty ringroad called the North Circular Road. My family and I really enjoyed it, absolutely delicious with a fantastic flavour. So thank you for bringing Lancashire back into our home at Christmas and I wish you all a Happy & Prosperous New Year!

Many thanks Andrew I am so glad that you can find our cheeses down in London. We are working hard to widen availability and grab more shelf space whenever we can. A Happy New Year to you too.
Q : Only the best!
From: Mrs Janet Shoesmith, Lichfield Staffordshire 31/12/2008
It's great that Butlers cheese is much more available in our area that it was fifteen years ago. George has a little nibble for Christmas, and birthdays, to remind him of home - we have it far more often because it is simpy delicious!!!

Q : pasteurised milk?
From: Louise, Suffolk 30/12/2008
I really love this cheese and would be grateful if you could tell me if
it is made from pasteurised milk? I have noticed some cheeses state whether it is or unpasteurised, however it does not say on the pack.

From: Sarah, Butlers 06/01/2009
Hello Louise, I’m glad that you like our cheese. Yes Blacksticks Blue is made from pasteurised cows milk.
