British Cheese Awards 2019

Award-winning British Cheese Wheel From Butlers

The show season started in style with the British Cheese Awards at the Bath and West Show. An impressive selection of the best British made cheese was judged in full view of the public and Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses came away with their best ever results, achieving a medal for every variety of their Farmhouse cheese. The objective of the competition is to award a recognised quality mark to cheeses which have been perfectly made and matured and to help the consumer appreciate the wide range of cheese now made in Britain.

We have played a key part in the resurgence of British artisan cheesemaking in the last 25 years and now we make 14 different varieties including the famous amber coloured Blacksticks Blue, Kidderton Ash soft goats log and the original Mrs Butlers Lancashire cheese, which celebrates 50 years in October.

“It is testament to the high quality of our milk and the dedication of our cheesemakers that we can now offer an Award winning gourmet selection to chefs and consumers to create the perfect cheeseboard” - Gill Hall
